Darlene Cahill, the world's most inspirational sewing machine guru and sales host for HSN, is so talented, beautiful, and one of the most up lifting human beings on the face of this earth! She invited me to film with her and be interviewed in her production studios for her new internet sewing network!
Millions of people have been inspired to learn to sew and have adopted sewing machines by watching Darlene on their television, and the internet around the world.
And Darlene is on TV talking and sewing at the same time while wearing stilettos! HELLOOOOOO!
She truly is NOT the stereotype image people have in their minds of a home sewer! Oh, no, no, no!
Darlene is a true diva without the diva personality!
I can tell you that the personality you see on HSN truly is how she is in person. Down to earth, sincere and passionate!
The positive energy that comes out of her makes a person feel they can be and do anything they want in life, and they can!!! And they can with style!
Our passions are so in tune with each other in the creative arts that I felt like I found a long lost sister!
I had an amazing time meeting her production team and touring her facility. First of all, her production facility is like a whole neighborhood!
Her husband George took me on a tour of their place and I felt like I was on the lot of Paramount studios!
Darlene just celebrated her 15th year with HSN.
Look for my interview with Darlene coming soon.
Be sure to sign up on my newsletter through my website to stay informed!
I will be heading back again very soon to film a bag sewing tutorial with Darlene.
Also, I cannot reveal everything right now, but I will give you a hint... Keep watching HSN, you'll see something that has Christopher Nejman on it this fall with Darlene!
Check out Darlene's new internet sewing website. This is going to explode because it is geared towards the "sewer"!
What she has coming in the future on her website will blow you away!!
My interview on her internet TV network will air this May. Be sure to book mark and sign up on her website.
More to come......

I just recently read an article about the political wife word bashing between the females.
Which leaves me to talk about a topic that comes up many times with my peers.
First you have a select few stay at home housewives who never worked a day in their lives outside of the wifely duties in the home.
Then you have the wife that works full time, plus takes care of the home, tends to her husband, and kids.
Next on the list is the single working mom. The woman who plays mom and dad, becomes the super woman covering all duties and responsibilities around the home and in raising the children on top of bringing home the pay check to take care of her and her children without any child support or assistance. This type of mom never has excuses of being too tired or doesn't have time to do things, etc.
Then we have the stay at home single mom who does not work but gets government assistance. So instead of a husband and her working to bring home the bacon for her and the kids, the tax payer gives her the bacon to stay home.
So out of all of these different "moms", which one is the harder and more responsible, and much more secure woman with more self confidence?
I can tell you that observing many women I teach sewing classes to and many clients that come into my salon, plus many women who have come to the salon and applied for a job, there is quite a difference in their educational skill level for the work force, low self esteem, and a lower confidence level coming from the stay at home mom that now is venturing out into the work force later in life..
Usually the married stay at home wife who never worked a day in her life, was once upon a time the trophy bride.
The stay at home wives who never worked, have everything they could possibly want and still are not happy with themselves.
They never got a career of their own, have no identity of their own except being Mr. Brown's wife, and fear their husband will be on the look out for the next younger second wife.
The working married wife and mother is on equal grounds with her husband.
In these cases, the husband shares more responsibility around the home with the wife because they both are working and they both are pitching in as a partnership in the marriage as parents. This wife is much less insecure of herself and has much more confidence in herself. This type of marriage usually lasts the longest and has the most respect.
The single working mom, she is a super mom !!
Tackling not only being the bread winner, but playing the mom and dad all in one.
Her kids grow up to be independent and more mature and responsible as well.
This single mom has no issues of insecurity. She is too busy making a living to wonder what her self worth is, because she already knows her self worth.
She usually has no time to date, but most of the men that do come into her life, cannot match her stamina and mature responsibilities and in most cases, cannot match her financial income level of what she is making.
Then we have the stay at home single mom who does not work, but collects government assistance checks.
Usually this type of woman had a mother just like her and the vicious circle never ends and keeps repeating from one generation to the next.
Most of these children never have the proper guide or education, and fall into the same vicious circle as mom. And most of their father's ( if they know them) are in and out of jail.
In all these cases, what are the children learning from their parent/parents?
Will the apple fall far from the tree?
Every child is a product of their environment and in most cases will live the same life and ways as they were brought up.
And if you notice, the most successful children who gone on to make a name for themselves usually in business, self employment, music or in acting for example. Many of them usually had single working moms who raised them. Which lead to these children being independent.
Moms play a huge role in the lives of the children.
While many women in the world are still fighting for their equal rights, fighting to be CEO's of companies, equal pay in management, etc., They are still fighting with each other, and the politicians who are trying to tell women how they should live their lives.
The problem we all see here, is the politician who is telling women how they should live their life, has that stay at home housewife themselves.
The stay at home housewife that thinks she understands what a single working mother should or should not do, but yet the stay at home wife never worked or if she did work, never brought home a matching pay check as the husband. Therefore, she was always in the background. Hence her insecurity issues and questions of self worth.
So the war of the women are between those who work and those who do not work in participating to be the bread winners.
Here is a great inspirational article and video to see on the success of a single working mom.
