Are Leggings Truly Flattering To A Woman?

Well we saw the narcissism side of Joshua on Project Runway. The mean spirit came out, the competitive side. To quote a line from Joshua - "If you will".

Perhaps he has a "mommie dearest" mother (or father), who knows, but we all know an apple does not fall far from the tree, and children get their personality traits from their parents as they live, and grow up with them. Some children when they become adults acknowledge right from wrong, and either change or not.

However, deep down under his self centered ego, is really a very talented designer. One thing he said that was a key word to me is when Becky suggested leggings, and Joshua put his sharp tongue to use, and cut her off immediately. Are leggings truly flattering to a woman? I mean, c'mon, not every woman out in this world has a super model body and this design challenge was for Heidi's new balance line which included knits, jerseys.

I myself have never been a fan of leggings because as we all know, designers seem to design clothes for the super models and forget the average woman is not paper thin.

In this case, I had to agree with Joshua about no leggings. Yes, his approach was wrong, and very harsh on Becky, but I had to look deeper into his creative mind, and realize his design aesthetic was correct. Check out the videos below I posted. You be the judge.

I am betting he makes it to the top three this season.

Here is a way to evaluate the Made in USA and a Fair Trade label.

Let us use Coach handbags for an example. Coach is a USA created company whose handbags used to be made in the USA. Now they are being made in China for cheaper wages by slave labor, as most USA corporations have done.

What happened to the USA manufacturing workers who made bags for Coach and other USA created corporation products? Gone, laid off, bye, bye.

So why do USA women keep buying Coach bags and supporting slave labor China? Are USA women happy jobs were canned in the USA and sent to China?

Look how many women have Coach handbags. You may not own one, but next time you are out and about, look at many of the ladies who are sporting them, average cost? $200 to $500.

That is a true political statement with their retail dollars. They don't care about jobs in the USA. So why blame the designer? And why don't these USA women care?

Know someone who has a Coach or other original product that was created in the USA and then sent overseas? Ever ask them why they are not buying Made In USA or Fair Trade items?

(I am writing about original USA created company products that many were created with your tax dollars. Then these companies took production out of the USA and sent production to China. Did these major corporations pay back the money they took from your tax dollars to create their business? NO!
If you borrowed money for college, would you be expected to pay it back? Yes! Do the children of congress have to pay back their student loans? Look that answer up, you will be surprised to find out!)

Oh and don't be fooled by those labels that say "Proudly Designed In The USA". That does not mean it was made in the USA. Just someone sketched the design here in the states. But slave labor still puts it together in China. If you live in Europe or anywhere else around the world, this has happened in your country as well.

Yes, they will try and fool the consumer now. So be sure it says MADE IN USA, not DESIGNED IN USA, etc. I saw this at the store the other day. I thought "Designed In The USA" ??
Why doesn't it say made in USA?

Well after digging through the pockets and zippers, I found the country of origin tag, and it was made in China. But the front tag tried to get your attention and trick the consumer with a "Designed In The USA" label.

Also, if you are buying online from an American designer or an original American product company, check to see what they post of where the item is made. Chances are it will say "Imported" (this is posted mostly in fashion items). If it says imported, will there be a fair trade label post with it? You can be sure it was made in sweat shops in third world countries and not fair trade.


Now, let us look at a Fair Trade example....

We will use Laga Handbags.

They were never created and manufactured in the USA. So jobs here in the USA were never lost. In fact, jobs have been created as well by Laga in the USA for USA and other people around the world who want to be consultants..

Laga handbags were created and are manufactured by ladies (and men as well) in Indonesia who "Own Their Business". They get fair pay so they can support their families, send their kids to school and rebuild their lives. Read their story on their website. I went to the store the other night to buy a new kitty food dish. I found a made in USA kitty food dish next to a made in China food dish. The made in USA was $2 more money. I bought the Made in USA dish to be sure I was helping our economy. I look for made in USA labels all the time now. If I have a choice between USA and China, I buy the USA product.

President Obama offered a stimulus program for the USA to create jobs.
A young couple in North Carolina took advantage of the stimulus program. They were able to create over 14 new manufacturing jobs and bring back jean textile production to their home town in the USA. And they did not even know how to sew. The husband self taught himself.

A young couple with no sewing experience but a business mindset and a passion to help build the country again for manufacturing. They created a sewing manufacturing plant of all people!

While middle aged politicians have their heads in the clouds talking, and fighting about religion, abortion, and against same sex marriage, and while they keep provoking prejudice, where is their resume on how they helped people create new manufacturing jobs and how they are implementing these programs for the USA economy? It appears at their age, sex, prejudice, and false religious titles they give themselves, they think will bring back jobs.

These people are so out of tune with the real world. You need everyone on board to fix the economy, and you need to stop telling people how to live their lives. Let people love who they want to love, because Lord knows, these politicians who preach these "values" are not faithful or honest to you much less their own spouses!

Our country keeps cutting education funds which will aid in the business minds we need. Oh,,, perhaps they don't want our future citizens educated so only the priveledged can be educated and keep having their corporations make their products in China.
Is America headed for a complete minimum wage slave labor country? The middle class is being wiped out!

Are USA consumers this ignorant already? Does anyone get it?
Where is your head when you look to see what these future leaders are doing and what our current leader has done and is trying to do that congress keeps fighting him on?

The young couple at Raleigh Denim did not sit around and do nothing. The stimulus program by President Obama did work! Each person in the USA had the same opportunity to create a new business to employ themselves and their communities.

It will make sense when you put it all together the next time you go shopping or look for a good paying job. Support Made In USA, and Fair Trade products.

Don't wait for someone to hold your hand. Wake up and see what has already been offered to you. Then listen to what the future leaders are promoting.

The mid life crisis politicians who are running for future leaders want sex to create jobs. At least that is all they talk about. Sex, abortion, marriage, and religion. How will that put food on your table? Again, where is their resume on how they helped people create new factory jobs? All they are worried about is their millions being taxed. They don't care about the little people. So they use religion and prejudice against gay people, and people of other ethnic groups to suck you in. Wake up people!

If they are so against same sex marriage, they should be walking around almost naked. Because most of their clothing were designed by gay people--HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So back to these politicians who keep harping on sex and marriage...Well,,, if prostitution is legal where you live, go for it.

It is a fact that many of these so called religious politicians and politicians who are homophobe are always caught in a hotel room with a prostitute, a girl friend and even a same sex prostitute. Those family values and marriage laws they promote are really working for them! "Thou shall not commit adultery", I think they missed that part in the Bible. Boy, do they have their followers fooled! It is always the politicians and their followers who are against people that are different, because they have the most to hide in their closets. I believe this is called being a hypocrite.

And if you want to prey on the weak and lonely, be an evangelist and setup a hotline call center that accepts the weak's credit cards. Charge $$ to pray for them.
They keep wanting to cure gay people, yet they never seem to want to cure parents who are child abusers or go after dead beat dads..

Be smart people, don't listen to the BS some of these mouthy deceitful politicians are preaching to you. They like to prey on the weak and lonely or find supporters who think they are better than your neighbor.

Look at what has been offered to you already. What are you doing about it to better your life and the economy around you? You too need to get your hands dirty, and stop waiting to be enabled!
